Manage Task List

Manage Task List

The Manage Task List window can be used when you want to treat your task list like a file. You can load, save, or create a new task list. This configuration window can be particularly helpful if you want to store your task list on a USB, or take your task list home at the end of the day.

JetTask saves your task information to two files:

1) JetTask2.mdb - This file is contained in "My Documents\JetTask" by default. This file is responsible for keeping track of all of your tasks and appointments. This file can be moved.
2) Programs.mdb - This file is contained in "My Documents\JetTask" by default. This file is responsible for keeping track of all of your program information. This file cannot be moved.

The JetTask2.mdb must always be named JetTask2.mdb. In other words, you can change the location of this file, but you cannot change the name. This makes it very easy to load and save task lists - because you only have to specify the storage directory.

1Action Selection

Action Selection
The Action Selection part of the form is used to specify what it is you want to do. You can load, save, or create a new task list.

There are two ways to load or save a task list:

1) Load From / To... Select this option if you want to specify where the Task List exists, or where it should be stored.
2) Quick Load / Save... JetTask can automatically store a task list on a given drive. The task list will be stored under [DRIVE]\JetTask\JetTask2.mdb. The advantage of letting JetTask quick save to a drive is that JetTask can then automatically load from that drive next time. This is great for high speed USB devices.

2Action Properties

Action Properties
The Action Properties area lets you set properties for the action you have chosen in the Action Selection area. These properties will change depending on your selection, but will basically ask you to provide either:

1) The folder where JetTask should be saved to / loaded from.
2) The drive where JetTask should be saved to / loaded from.

3Command Buttons

Command Buttons
The Manage Task List Window contains 2 buttons:

1) Save - used the execute the settings.
2) Cancel - used to close the form without executing changes.
