Search Bar

Search Bar

The search bar is a handy little tool for executing searches. You can search JetTask, or any major search engine from the same place. Just select your search engine from one of the 25 engines provided - or add our own. See the Search Settings topic for more information.

1Show Search

Show Search
This link is used to show or hide the search bar. This is useful when you are not using the search bar, or use it rarely. If you do not see this link, check your Search Settings and make sure that "Show Search Bar" is set to "Let me hide it."

2Search Provider

Search Provider
This drop down box is used to select the search provider who will be used to execute your search. Currently, JetTask supports 25 search providers - including Google, Yahoo, MSN, Wikipedia, Amazon, and MySpace. You can configure which search engines are shown in the Search Settings.

3Search Bar

Search Bar
Just type your search and press return! If you are searching JetTask, you will automatically be moved to the Find where you will see your results. If you are searching the Web, JetTask will open a new tab in your browser and show you the results. If you do not have a browser open, JetTask will open one for you.

4Start Search

Start Search
If you don't like pressing return after your query you can click this button instead. Both actions do the same thing - execute your search.
