Calendar

Calendar

The JetTask Calendar has very advanced features and we are sure it can do whatever you would want a calendar to do. The primary function of the JetTask calendar is to:

1) Set Appointments.
2) Set Reminders.
3) View Appointments and Reminders.

Use the calendar's "Recurring Events" feature to remind you about event like birthdays, anniversaries or weekly appointments.

1Calendar View

Calendar View
The JetTask calendar is capable of displaying your appointments using 4 different views:

1) Day View - shows your appointments for a given day (as shown above).
2) Work Week View - Shows your calendar for the next 5 business days.
3) Week View - Shows your calendar for the next week.
4) Month View - Shows your calendar for the next month.

All four of these views are available by right-clicking in your calendar and selecting "Change View To".

Note that "Day View" is capable of displaying multiple days. Simple select the day you want to display in the Date Selector. Then hold down the CTRL key and select another date. This allows you to view multiple randomly selected days in the same view.

2Appointment

Appointment
An appointment is...well, an appointment. Appointments have a number of different attributes which can be set in the "Appointment" window.

One attribute of particular importance is the "Label" attribute. This attribute can be set by right clicking on the appointment and selecting "Label As". JetTask supports a wide variety of labels - each with its own color code. The labels are used to color the appointments, but more importantly are also used for Reporting purposes.

3Calendar Control

Calendar Control
The "Calendar Control" is the big yellow area of the calendar. All of the features of the Calendar are available by right clicking on this yellow area. After right clicking, you will see a menu with options to add various types of appointments, search for a given date, or change the view. For more information on the types of views supported by the Calendar, see "Date Selector".

4Time Ruler

Time Ruler
The time ruler is used to indicate what time appointments start and stop. You can right click on the Time Ruler to change the increment of time used by the ruler. The ruler supports anything from a 5 - 60 minute increment. A 30 minute increment is shown in the screen shot above.

5Date Selector

Date Selector
The date selector can be used to select the dates which the calendar should focus on. Note that you can select multiple consecutive dates. When you do this, the calendar will automatically switch views. The calendar supports four different views:

- Day View
- Work Week View
- Week View
- Month View

You can also switch views by right clicking on the Calendar Control and selecting "Change View To" followed by the view you are interested in.

To change a month or year, click on the appropriate left or right arrow located at the top of the Date Selector.

Note two special dates in the calendar above are marked. The first is the date which is currently selected. This date is marked with a blue box. The second special date is today. "Today" is marked by a red box outline. You can always go to today by clicking on this date. Alternatively, if you want to go to today, you can right click on the calendar control and select "Go To Today".

6Command Buttons
