Task List

The Task List is the heart of JetTask. It shows all of your current tasks which are color coded according to priority or current progress. Note that task color coding can be turned off using Settings. To activate the Settings dialog, simply right click anywhere in your task list and select "Settings".

1Title Bar

Title Bar
The Title Bar displays information about tasks in your task list. You can change the information displayed in the title bar by right clicking and selecting the information you want displayed. The title bar is capable of displaying the following task information:

- Description
- Date Added
- Date Due
- Priority
- Sort Number

Also note that you can sort your tasks using the Title Bar. Just click on the column you want to sort by and an arrow will appear indicating the sort direction. In the above example, the description column is being sorted in ascending order.

2High Priority Task

High priority tasks are colored orange.

To mark a task as High priority, simply right click the task and select "Priority" followed by "High". Alternatively, double click the task to bring up the Task Detail window and check "High" in the priority field followed by "OK".

3Low Priority Task

Low Priority tasks are colored green.

To mark a task as Low priority, simply right click the task and select "Priority" followed by "Low". Alternatively, double click the task to bring up the Task Detail window and check "Low" in the priority field followed by "OK".

4In Progress

In Progress
With JetTask, you can mark a task as being "in progress". When a task is in progress it means you are working on that task. JetTask will time you to see how long it takes you to complete the task. You can then use the time information for any number of reporting purposes including client billing.

To mark a task as in progress, simply right click the task and select "In Progress". Alternatively, double click the task to bring up the Task Detail window and check "In Progress" followed by "OK".

5Subtask Indicator

The "Plus" symbol is placed next to a task when the tasks contains subtasks. To view the subtasks, simply double click the task.

6Complete Checkbox

Complete Checkbox
When a task is complete, simply check the "complete" checkbox. The task will be marked as complete in the database for reporting purposes.

If you accidentally check the complete checkbox and the task disappears, don't worry. Simply right click on the task list and select "Undo". Alternatively, you can select the Task List and use the short-cut key CTRL-Z.
