Hipster PDA – What It Is and How You Can Use It for Effective Time Management

Hipster PDA is a personal organizer which makes use of index cards held together by a binder clip and is used for effective time management. Although this is a really simple system it has become really popular as a personal organization tool and has received widespread coverage in the media.

It is quite simple to create your own Hipster PDA as all you will need is a couple of index cards and a binder clip to hold them together. You may want to choose a variety of index cards – perhaps in different colors, to represent different categories. Another modification that you can make is to use a single card of a different color to separate new and used cards. Put all used cards behind your individual colored card and the new ones in front.

Once you have completed the activity you can either recycle the card or, if you prefer, move the card into a section for completed activities.

For more effective time management, do not allow too many cards to accumulate in your Hipster PDA but if you want to keep old cards that you do not use regularly rather have a separate file for the cards that you can keep in a filing cabinet, in your desk, in the office or at home somewhere. This separate filing system for used Hipster PDA cards can also be categorized so that when you are looking for those cards again they can be easily found.
