Google Productivity

I must say that I have been very impressed with the tools Google provides for improving your productivity. If you have been limiting yourself to the search engine and pay per click features of Google then you have been missing out on some excellent productivity tools.

GMail

Email can be a real time waster and decrease your productivity. We often feel dictated to by the need to reply to our emails. GMail, I believe, is the answer to email productivity. It allows you to search your emails more effectively than most other email programs available, tag and generally improve your email organization. In order to take advantage of the many productivity benefits of GMail though, it is best to keep your email online. This may not be the ideal solution for everyone but my opinion is that it really can boost your productivity.

Google Docs

Google Docs is another great Google productivity tool. It allows you to easily share, publish and search documents online. By using Google Docs you can easily collaborate on documents with other colleagues without having to email back and forth. Since you are saving all your documents online, you can also work on them from anywhere.

Google Notebook

This is a new tool on the Google website, but one that I believe holds promise as a productivity tool. It allows you to copy information from the websites you visit into your Google Notebook without ever leaving your browser and also allows you to easily organize and publish these notes. If you spend a lot of time doing research online then this tool could really boost your productivity.
